TeamRay wins Clyde tournament

CLYDE — The TeamRay Biddy Grapplers, of Bellevue, took the top spot over Fremont Ross at the Kevin West Memorial Tournament on Sunday, Jan. 13 at Clyde High School. Columbian finished third.
Tournament champions for TeamRay were Tate Corapi, Joel Ray, Max Ray, Tyler Ray, Landon Cook, Justin Mayes, Tristen DeWitt, Collin Corapi, Caiden Walters and Kayden Rollingson.
Finishing as runner-up for TeamRay were Brock Nunez and Jayden Mayes. Placing third were Clayton Alley, Gabe Alda and Aiden Nunez.
Gaining fourth-place finishes were Logan Damron, Caleb Kinney, Caidyn Nunez, Noah Alda and Anthony Burton.
TeamRay will travel to Oregon, Ohio, for the Ohio Athletic Committee district tournament at Clay High School, from which the top four wrestlers in each weight class will earn the right to compete in the 32-man brackets at the OAC state tournament in Youngstown, Ohio, on March 16–17.
