TeamRay wins Clyde tournament

The Team­Ray Biddy Grap­plers, of Belle­vue, won the Kevin West Memo­r­ial Tour­na­ment on Sun­day, Jan. 13 at Clyde High School. CLYDE — The Team­Ray Biddy Grap­plers, of Belle­vue, took the top spot over Fre­mont Ross at the Kevin West Memo­r­ial Tour­na­ment on Sun­day, Jan. 13 at Clyde High School. Columbian fin­ished third.

Tour­na­ment cham­pi­ons for Team­Ray were Tate Corapi, Joel Ray, Max Ray, Tyler Ray, Lan­don Cook, Justin Mayes, Tris­ten DeWitt, Collin Corapi, Caiden Wal­ters and Kay­den Rollingson.

Fin­ish­ing as runner-up for Team­Ray were Brock Nunez and Jay­den Mayes. Plac­ing third were Clay­ton Alley, Gabe Alda and Aiden Nunez.

Gain­ing fourth-place fin­ishes were Logan Dam­ron, Caleb Kin­ney, Cai­dyn Nunez, Noah Alda and Anthony Burton.

Team­Ray will travel to Ore­gon, Ohio, for the Ohio Ath­letic Com­mit­tee dis­trict tour­na­ment at Clay High School, from which the top four wrestlers in each weight class will earn the right to com­pete in the 32-man brack­ets at the OAC state tour­na­ment in Youngstown, Ohio, on March 16–17.
