From staff reports
COLUMBUS, Ohio — For the second straight week, the Bellevue Lady Red appeared in the state basketball poll, as the third of seven weekly polls was released Tuesday by the Associated Press. The unbeaten Clyde Lady Fliers were again ranked second.
Bellevue (12–2) received 20 points and was ranked 11th in Division II in Tuesday’s poll, one week after ranking 13th in its first appearance in the season’s poll. The Lady Red defeated Upper Sandusky, 56–47, on Jan. 15, to end the Rams’ 12-game winning streak.
Clyde (17–0) was ranked second in Division II in Tuesday’s poll, as it has in all three versions of the weekly poll this season. The Lady Fliers, which received one first-place vote, topped Cincinnati Winton Woods, 30–29, in the national showcase tournament, the Classic in the Country, on Sunday.
Millersburg West Holmes (16–0) was ranked first in Division II on Tuesday. Bellevue trailed 10th-ranked Akron Hoban (10–4) by two points in Tuesday’s poll.
