Faye Myrta Johnson, age 95, of Bellevue, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the Bellevue Care Center, Bellevue.
She was born in Brockway, Pa., the daughter of the late Samuel Edgar and Olive Mae (Croyle) Humphreys.
She graduated from Lawrence Park High School in Erie, Pa.
Faye was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church; she was a pre-school teacher’s aide for over 20 years at St. John’s Christian Preschool.
She is survived by her daughter, Ingrid (Dave) Shannon, of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Knight, of Denver, Colo., Kelley Shannon, of Lakeland, Fla., Jeffrey (Coleen) Johnson, of Port Clinton, Ohio, Kristin (Jeff) Gillis of Mansfield, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Audrey Knight, Ava Knight, both of Denver, Colo., Erica Gillis of Mansfield, Ohio, Jeffrey Johnson Jr., of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, Chaz Johnson, Cashes Johnson and Mariah Johnson, all of Port Clinton.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Dean Johnson, whom she married Nov. 4, 1938; her son, Eric Johnson; and sisters, Ruth Humphreys, Helen Humphreys, Oleta Albright and Naomi Jansen preceded her in death.
Private interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
