Alliance installs new pastor
Pastor Michael Alcorn will be installed as the new Pastor at Bellevue Alliance Church, 1001 Monroe Street, on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. A potluck luncheon will follow.
Michael and Jessica Alcorn were both born and raised in northeast Ohio. They’ve been married for over twelve years and have been blessed with their daughter Mackenzie, who is five and in kindergarten and son Lincoln, who is almost three. Michael graduated from Youngstown State University and taught high school science and coached basketball for three years. However, God called Michael and Jessica into ministry shortly after they were married.
Michael graduated from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2003 with a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (New Testament) and is currently nearing his final year of a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Michael is ordained with the C and MA and has pastured in C and MA churches in Maryland and Washington for over nine years.
Michael loves all sports, particularly golf, and Ohio State football. He loves to read and study. He loves to spend time with Jessica and the kids taking walks, playing, wrestling or doing whatever the kids decide will be fun that day.
Jessica graduated with a degree in Biology from Malone University in Canton and worked full-time for several years in the biotech industry. She now works full-time as a mom to Mackenzie and Lincoln and serves in the church alongside Michael. Jessica loves spending time with people, traveling, gardening and being outdoors.
Michael, Jessica and their kids are excited to call Bellevue their home. They look forward to meeting, connecting and serving the people of the Bellevue community.
