Alliance installs new pastor

Pas­tor Michael Alcorn will be installed as the new Pas­tor at Belle­vue Alliance Church, 1001 Mon­roe Street, on Sun­day, Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. A potluck lun­cheon will follow.

Michael and Jes­sica Alcorn were both born and raised in north­east Ohio. They’ve been mar­ried for over twelve years and have been blessed with their daugh­ter Macken­zie, who is five and in kinder­garten and son Lin­coln, who is almost three. Michael grad­u­ated from Youngstown State Uni­ver­sity and taught high school sci­ence and coached bas­ket­ball for three years. How­ever, God called Michael and Jes­sica into min­istry shortly after they were married.

Michael grad­u­ated from Ash­land The­o­log­i­cal Sem­i­nary in 2003 with a Mas­ter of Arts in Bib­li­cal Stud­ies (New Tes­ta­ment) and is cur­rently near­ing his final year of a Doc­tor of Min­istry in Pas­toral Stud­ies from Gordon-Conwell The­o­log­i­cal Sem­i­nary. Michael is ordained with the C and MA and has pas­tured in C and MA churches in Mary­land and Wash­ing­ton for over nine years.

Michael loves all sports, par­tic­u­larly golf, and Ohio State foot­ball. He loves to read and study. He loves to spend time with Jes­sica and the kids tak­ing walks, play­ing, wrestling or doing what­ever the kids decide will be fun that day.

Jes­sica grad­u­ated with a degree in Biol­ogy from Mal­one Uni­ver­sity in Can­ton and worked full-time for sev­eral years in the biotech indus­try. She now works full-time as a mom to Macken­zie and Lin­coln and serves in the church along­side Michael. Jes­sica loves spend­ing time with peo­ple, trav­el­ing, gar­den­ing and being outdoors.

Michael, Jes­sica and their kids are excited to call Belle­vue their home. They look for­ward to meet­ing, con­nect­ing and serv­ing the peo­ple of the Belle­vue community.
