The Bellevue Recreation Department again has its City Activity Centre Walking Track open to the public at 3000 Seneca Industrial Parkway.

The track ‚which is located at the back of Bellevue City Center, is open Monday through Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 2 :30 p.m. and Saturdays from 5:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.

We might offer some extended hours,” Rec director Mark Weisenberger said recently.

Work continues at the new area being used for the city Activity Centre. The walking track was installed earlier this month and nets were added last week for ball practice, said. The new floor for gymnastics and tumbling is partially completed.

Weisenberger said that new curtains will separate the activities areas in the warehouse-size room. He expected that they should be installed next week.

To use the new Activity Centre walking track, a walker must be a member of the Bellevue Community Center, have a day pass or purchase a walking track members. The lone walking track membership is $25 for a city resident and $30 for a non resident.

The activity center track is an unsupervised facility and those who use the track are advised not to walk alone.

Weisenberger reported that it takes a dozen trips about the track to make a one-mile walk. In case of bad weather contact the Community Center at 419483-5555 to see if the track is available.

To purchase a track or community center membership visit the Community Center at 110 Cherry St.
