National Day of Prayer set for Saturday at shelter house

Blessed is the Nation Whose God is the Lord” is the theme of this year’s National Day of Prayer. The Belle­vue cel­e­bra­tion will be held at the Bellevue’s Recre­ation Shel­ter House Fri­day, May 4, at 1:15 p.m.

Janet Dun­dore will present the pro­gram on the local Sal­va­tion Army Group’s activ­i­ties in Belle­vue. The Rev. Julia Leyman-Guy, pas­tor of St. John’s Lutheran Church will be a participant.

Any­one hav­ing inter­est­ing infor­ma­tion on their church mis­sion pro­gram which they would like to share with the group, please con­tact Jackie Wyn­bissinger by Wednes­day, May 2, at 419483-4649 so that a time can be sched­uled and the name can appear on the program.

Dot­tie Pick­er­ing is select­ing the music accom­pa­ni­ment. Reg­u­lar atten­dees of the Belle­vue Ladies Fri­day Bible Study Group, led by Rose­mae Ham­mill, will be fur­nish­ing cook­ies and punch and help­ing with the Salute to the Bible, the Chris­t­ian Flag and the Amer­i­can Flag.

A love gift offer­ing will be taken to be given to the local Sal­va­tion Army and for kits for mil­i­tary fam­i­lies which are $10 each.

The pub­lic is encour­aged to participate.
