National Day of Prayer set for Saturday at shelter house
“Blessed is the Nation Whose God is the Lord” is the theme of this year’s National Day of Prayer. The Bellevue celebration will be held at the Bellevue’s Recreation Shelter House Friday, May 4, at 1:15 p.m.
Janet Dundore will present the program on the local Salvation Army Group’s activities in Bellevue. The Rev. Julia Leyman-Guy, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church will be a participant.
Anyone having interesting information on their church mission program which they would like to share with the group, please contact Jackie Wynbissinger by Wednesday, May 2, at 419–483-4649 so that a time can be scheduled and the name can appear on the program.
Dottie Pickering is selecting the music accompaniment. Regular attendees of the Bellevue Ladies Friday Bible Study Group, led by Rosemae Hammill, will be furnishing cookies and punch and helping with the Salute to the Bible, the Christian Flag and the American Flag.
A love gift offering will be taken to be given to the local Salvation Army and for kits for military families which are $10 each.
The public is encouraged to participate.
