Bellevue man found dead outside Erie County Sheriff's Office
SANDUSKY –The Erie County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 26-year-old Bellevue man who was found dead shortly before 8 this morning on the lawn between the sheriff’s office and the Erie County Services Center.
Chief Deputy Jared Oliver reported the decedent is Jonathon K. Schaeffer, 26, 8611 St. Rt. 113 East, Bellevue.
“He was not booked out of our facility or into our facility,” Oliver reported today.
The chief deputy said Schaeffer had no connection to the sheriff’s office nor had an active warrant.
The body was sent to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
