Bellevue Hospital phone system is down

The phone system at The Bellevue Hospital is currently not working correctly, and TBH cannot receive incoming calls.

Joanna Ventura, TBH marketing director for the hospital, said Tuesday morning that all Frontier phone systems are apparently affected, and the hospital does not know how soon their system will be up and running again.

We are in contact with emergency services,” she confirmed.

She said staff members have cell phones as well. The hospital staff also will be talking to patients and providing a cell phone if they need to call out today.

A lot of patients come in and have cell phones with them,” she added, noting those patients are free to use cell phones in the hospital.

In cases of emergency, Ventura said residents should call 91-1.

She said people may come to the hospital if they need to check other information.
