It IS time to get things changed...for the good.

One thing that does concern me, if these crossing are closed. Where ever traffic get rerouted, will the streets be upgraded to handle the increase in traffic. I've seen this problem in recent years with the Overpass. Ellis, Belle, Kinney st's have all seen massive increases in traffic in recent years because of the trains. Those streets were not made to handle that amount of traffic. Streets need to be widened and reinforced so they are not crumbling after a year or two!

Is $10/hr at local plastics factories considered "middle clas" these days? Last I checked you cannot buy a home, a car and all the Middle class things at that salary.

"100 trains a day will use that crossing." Ummm....that's 4 per hour. To me...that seems as if it would be nearly an endless parade. Granted Bellevue could use the money (smartly) like to possibly get Rt. 20/Main St. resurfaced however...is the "crossing closings" debate the best solution to any problems what so ever?

Dear Jim, David, Tom and Martha:

Karen just shared with me the sad news of your mother's passing. Nadine joins me in extending our heartfelt sympathies to you all. What fond memories we have of the Kuhn Family and our wonderful association as neighbors on Fairfield and Euclid Avenues. Karen and George were in Bowling Green on Friday when I took the "oath of office" as the next Mayor of Bowling Green, OH. So today is my first official day "on the job." As you may know, I am a retired university vice president and public official. This is our second time around in BG and needless to say, we have continued to have very close ties with BGSU. It is a wonderful community and the University continues to excel on so many fronts. A number of Bellevueans reside here including John Archer, our Optometrist. We think of you all often and wonder how you are all doing. Given our ties with NC, we made particular note of your location, Tom, as we know the Greensboro area and UNC-G. If you are ever this way, please let us know. Warm regards and all good wishes for 2012. Dick and Nadine

If they looked closer at Bellevue they would see that there is a need for the activity of the task force to rise in this area. Let's just say this was the tip of the iceberg!

Mr. Ladd is a very well versed expert on the subject of train safety. I was raised beside the tracks on Kilbourn Street and saw many a dangerous situation....which I have never forgotten. My father-in-law was a conductor on the NKP and would also tell stories of train accidents on the Cleveland run. Thank you Randy for a job well done. Keep up the great work protecting our young people.
