Crispy air and azure skies,
High above, a white cloud flies,
Bright as newly fallen snow
Oh the joy to those who know Octo­ber!
I have to agree that there is noth­ing more beau­ti­ful than an Octo­ber sky or sun­set.
A few reminders:
1. Sign up for the Thanks­giv­ing din­ner spon­sored by Home Sav­ings con­tin­ues. The meal will be held at the VFW on Nov. 7 at noon. I need your reser­va­tions by Nov. 2.
2. New library books are here for you to look over.
3. In case you have for­got­ten, we have peo­ple play­ing mahjong here on Thurs­day after­noons at 1 p.m. If you have been want­ing to learn the game, there are peo­ple who can help you at these ses­sions.
4. The Fri­day Lunch Bunch will be hav­ing veg­etable soup, cheese and crack­ers, rolls and but­ter, plus dessert.
Our Christ­mas Shoe Box project looks like it will be suc­cess­ful once again this year. The boxes are wrapped and ready to fill in the next few days. Thanks a mil­lion to those who sup­port me each year with your mon­e­tary dona­tions and also with things to put in these boxes.
