Senior Citizens' Corner
40th anniversary Sunday
By JOANNE AUSTIN, director
Four County Young-At-Heart
Senior Center
As we rush toward fall, we are having some great weather, beautiful skies and spectacular sunsets. No wonder this is my favorite time of year.
We are hoping for a great day on Sunday. Remember, if you have a reservation, this is the day for our big celebration. The doors will open at noon. We will be serving at 1 p.m. or shortly thereafter.
Call in and make your reservation for a complimentary dinner to be hosted by Saber health care here at the center on Oct. 1. It will be held on our regular dinner/meeting day and will feature chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, roll and dessert.
Library books will be exchanged Thursday.
A contribution in memory of Trudy Dysard has been received by Four County Young-at-Heart Senior Center from John, Jen, Logan and Nolan Hartman, Tricia, Kaley and Kendall Dick and Norma Hartman.
St. Bernard: Dismayed by the size of the St. Bernard dog given him for his birthday, the little boy asked, “Is he for me or am I for him?”
Strike out: The manager walks to the mound, ready to yank the pitcher. The pitcher protests, “I struck this guy out the last time.”
“Yeah, but this is the same inning.”
Talk to you next week — J.
